Babysitting Lucas & Taylor

We babysat Jaime's kids for 6 nights while they went to Hawaii. I was reminded how busy little ones can be. Toys out everywhere and hungry 24/7. They are great little kids and loved playing with my girls. While Jaime and Steve were away Lucas turned four. We had a little birthday party for him and gave him presents that stay at Aunt Staci's house. Taylor is such a sweetie and loved being around Rachel the most. Jaime is having another baby in July. I think that it will be a girl. Jaime thinks it will be a boy. I love surprises!

Abby tries Basketball

Abigail tried basketball for the first time ever this year. We were a bit worried that she would have a negative experience having never done it before but she did great. She has amazing potential if she will stick to it. She even managed to make a few baskets. Way to go Abby!

Allie loses her first teeth

Allie went to the dentist in January and we were so grateful that she didn't have any cavities! (She better not with all that metal in her mouth now!) Allie was very brave and I didn't have to get into the chair and hold her down this time. She kept telling me that she was going to be brave because she is bigger now. I just had to sit next to her and hold her hand and tell her to breath. The dentist did say that her front teeth on the bottom were very loose and also her top two teeth and with a little wiggling they could come out soon.
I told Allie that I would give her some time to get the teeth out by herself and then if she couldn't do it maybe dad could help her. She wiggled them as only a six year old would but they never let loose. So I sent her to her dad to pull one out because it was literally hanging in there. Because they are so small he grabbed and pulled out the bottom two. She wasn't very impressed and was a bit light headed for a while. I wonder if she will let Alan pull out the top two? We will see.....

Melissa turns Zombie

Melissa takes the dress-up days at school very seriously. This year for winter homecoming they had a dress up day for each day of the week. For zombie day Melissa went all out. She even made her own fake blood and got it all over our kitchen. Her friend also dressed up as a dead zombie homecoming queen. They made quite the pair! Melissa looks pretty scary and someone that I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley.

St. Patty's Day Mischief

Abby and Allie built traps this year to try and catch a Leprechaun. The Leprechaun's were very cleaver and used paper clips and rubber bands to climb out of their traps. They left green candy in everybody's shoes and created havoc in our living room. The furniture was over turned and out of place but everywhere they created mischief they left Rolo candies. So we didn't mind too much!

Rachel turns 12!

Rachel finally turned 12! She has been waiting for this day for a long time. She now gets to join Melissa and Hannah in YW's. She is totally excited about being with more girls in her grade. I am excited to be with 3 of my oldest daughters at girl's camp this year. What a treat that will be for me! Rachel had 7 friends over a birthday party over-nighter this year. We took them all to the mall where they broke up into 2 groups and participated a mall scavenger hunt. It was a lot of walking and our feet were tired when we finished. I thought that the athletic groups from CSI were going to be there so for every signature they got from them they got 10 extra points. Well they were not there but Rachel's group went around to college age students and asked if they went to CSI. They did mange to get 3 signatures. We then took them to Idaho Pizza where they filled up on pizza and pop. I thought that they would be totally exhausted but they managed to catch their 2nd wind and they ran around our yard playing night games until midnight. They slept out in the trailer and ate junk food and watched movies all night. Saturday Rachel had breakfast with her friends and opened up her gifts. She got lots of presents and things for YW's. She even got her own curling iron for her beautiful locks of hair she does every day. She has mastered the curling iron quite well now. She requested a "Tres Leche" cake for her birthday this year. I found a recipe on the internet and made the cake and it was moist and very yummy. It was a great day. We love you Rachee! Happy Birthday!

Melissa Turns 17

Melissa turned 17 on the 20th. It was a busy day with school and volleyball. She did find a few hours of time to spend with her family on her birthday. We have enjoyed watching Melissa develop in volleyball, speech and piano this year. She is a beautiful young lady and makes everyone around her laugh with her "dry sense of humor." Her teachers and volleyball coach always comments on what a funny girl she is and is such a joy to be around. She loves listening to the Beatles and 80's music. She is a keeper! We love you Loopers!

Allie Babba Turns 6!

What a joy it has been to have Allie as our last baby. She is such a little character and is constantly keeping up entertained. She has changed so much this past year and is definitely more outgoing.  She will actually talk to people instead of just looking through them. She makes us laugh every day and really draws us together as a family. She is always doing crafts and playing with her babies. She just loves her babies! She is such a good little eater now and prides herself in showing us her clean plate most meals. She loves to learn and loves going to school everyday. It is so cute to see her little buddies all run towards Allie when I drop her off at school in the afternoon. I really wish I could just bottle her up and keep her this way forever. We love you our little Allie Babba!
