Melissa Volleybal 2010

Melissa had a great start this season in volleyball and in the beginning was playing all the way around. She hurt her back, shoulder and had shin-splints and had to sit out for a few weeks. (She doesn't get the work-out in the off-season approach.) That ended up hurting her playing time when she was ready to play again. She played front row for most of the season and some back row towards the end. She prefers playing front row. The group of girls that she played with were amazing athletes and made it by sheer will to state this year (which was in Kimberly). They were definitely out-coached and who knows how far they could have gone if they had a decent coach. Their coach knows nothing about volleyball but for some reason she is the head varsity coach - go figure. They ended up getting 5th at state.
