Last Week of School

The last week of school is really just a big play time for the kids. Zach did have a end of trimester test on Tuesday but everyone else just watched movies, went swimming and had parties. Abby's last day was on Thursday and they make a big deal about kindergarten graduation here. It was fun to watch her throughout her singing performance because she was looking directly at me and made all these cute faces. She loved her teacher Mrs. Arhen's. She drew Abby out of her shy shell.


Rachel got awards for all of her accomplishments this year and but the best was when they announced the winner for the canal company coloring contest and she was one of five. She stood up and placed her hand over her mouth like she had just won an Oscar. It was so darling and unfortunately I was not camera ready at the time. She got 5 gold Sacajawea dollar coins. She claims that she did this because there were two artist people in her class an she doubted that she would win. Rachel also had fun at her track & field day. She is a speedy girl and even anchored her class in the tug of war!


Hannah got the "Above & Beyond" award for the 3rd time from her teacher. She always does her best and then some. She also had a great track & field day. She also ran in a mile fun run last week where she got 24th out of 280 kids. Maybe we got another distance runner in our family....

Melissa got the outstanding student for Social Studies, Language Arts and Madhatters. Zach made it through his best year yet in HS! Yay! We are so excited for summer vacation!
